  • Frank and his cat Meredith where having a normal day, when Frank noticed an ad with a seemingly great offer pop up. He just couldn't resist clicking on it!
  • For Frank to obtain the goods this ad was selling, it was required for him to type in some personal information. Part of this included his full name, email address and bank details. 
  • The advert disguised their unsafe questions as necessary and good. It said that it asked for that information to ensure the transaction went smoothly. Frank told his daughter, Julia, the good news about what he had just bought. However, Julia is unsure about the truth and safety of this situation and the advert.
  • When Julia goes into her room, she thinks about the advert and everything that it asked for. She is worried and thinks that it could something bad or dangerous. Julia decides to talk to Frank about it, so they can sort this all out.
  • Julia tells Frank about the dangers of something like the advert that he saw and the information that it asked for. She lets him know that there are many ways hackers and scammers can try and access your information, or gain unauthorized access to private things online.
  • Frank and Julia know that they need to sort this out. Frank calls the bank that he uses and informs them about the situation. They help him and understand. He changes his passwords and details for his bank and after that his email too. Then, Frank decides to install a security software that will ensure that he is informed whenever something is bad. Now, he is safe online.
