  • In Montgomery, Alabama, white people entered the bus from the front and African-Americans entered the bus through the back.
  • There are too many white people... - Rosa
  • White people sat in the front half of the bus and African-Americans sat in the back half. If the front of the bus was full, African Americans were required to give up their seats to white riders
  • Yay!!!!
  • Sheild her eyes! 
  •  As “white seats” filled up, the bus driver asked Parks to give up her seat to a white man. Parks refused, and said “no.” She was arrested and fined $14.
  • On December 1, 1955, African-American seamstress Rosa Parks sat in the front row of the “colored section” going home from work on Montgomery’s Cleveland Avenue bus.
  • This isn't over...
  • As a result of Parks’ protest, 40,000 African-American bus riders boycotted the segregation system the day after Parks’ court hearing on December 6, 1955.
