Storyboard Text

  • "My only love sprung from my only hate."
  • "A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life;/ ....The fearful passage of their death marked love,"
  • Conflict: A struggle between opposing forces, usually the main character struggles against some other force.
  • "Alack, there lies more peril in thine eye/ Than twenty of their swords./ Look thou but sweet/ And i am proof against their enmity."
  • Conflict: Juliet is conficted knowing that her only true love is her sworn enemy, Romeo; a Montague. She knows it would be best for her not to be with him, but she can't help but think of her heart wants.
  • Conflict: Romeo and Juliet want nothing more than to be together, but fate has its own paln for the two of them. The pair will die as soon as their lives together start.
  • FATE
  • "If he be married/ My grave is like to be my wedding bed."
  • Conflict: The Capulets are the soceity and Romeo is saying that he is evidence of oppostion. Meaning that if he were to be with Juliet he'd be going against soceity because the Capulet's don't like him because he's a Montague.
  • Romeo knows he can't duel Tybalt because he is now family. But when Tybalt kills Mercutio, Romeo's best friend, he can't help but fight back. Romeo's confliction leads to Tybalt's death.
  • "That late thou gavest me; for Mercutio's soul/...Either thou, or I, or both must go with him."
  • Juliet knows she shouldn't care if Romeo is with anyone because she isn't supposed to be with him. She happens to state her own fate- dying, through her conflicting feelings for Romeo.
