The day of the ball at the castle was finally here, and Gabby was more excited than anyone. She'd want to meet the princess since she was appointed. The clack-clack of the horses hooves on the gravel didn't even cover the excited noises she was making once she saw the castle.
Gabby could not believe her eyes, her best friend Carli was stealing all of the princess' attention. Carli didn't even care about the royalty in the town. She stewed in her jealousy and not even the impending grand feast was lightening her mood.
The feast begun and and a whirlwind of potent smells and interminable sounds of people laughing roared around her. it added to her joy as she saw the princess alone. the princess said Carli went to get some air. She asked Gabby to wait in the hall to ask Carli to come dance with the princess when Carli returned. Gabby came back later, a little on edge, telling her she couldn't find Carli.
after too long had passed, the princess asked a few people to help her find Carli. Everyone was shocked to find the girl dead in the storage room, a sense of despair fell over the room as people fell to their knees in astonishment, tears falling to the floor.
Waaah! oh dear
It was a long and dreary night, as Carli's body was taken away, the people of the castle wondered who did it based on evidence. One of the workers remembered the surplus of moster's that have been on castle grounds, not even considering someone in the castle could've done it. "She could've hardly survived a monster attack, then tried to come get help." Gabby offered, so they headed outside to see if they could find evidence of Carli being out there.
