  • Pakistan, 1469 saw the birth of a new leader, leader of the religion Sikhism - Guru Nanak.
  • You have seen the kid? I haven't for three days? Where is he?
  • Probably got eaten by a lion whilst doing his three thousandth meditation in a row. I won't sweat on him on his behalf.
  • Although Guru Nanak was brought up as a Hindu, he only believed in one God. This angered his parents because he was insulting all the Hindu gods.
  • I was with God!
  • He told me to follow his path!
  • Guru Nanak loved to meditate. It brought peace and he felt nothing but calm as he did that. He spent most of his days meditating, away from others. This only angered his parents some more
  • So this guy told me that he was with God and that God told him to follow his path. And he asked me if I could follow the path too!
  • Same with me! He approached me and told the same thing. He makes himself sound like a hero or a warrior!
  • Is he even human? He sounds more like a God to me!

  • It was on this particular day that people noticed that Guru Nanak had been missing for three days! They assumed he died whilst meditating.
  • Three days later, Guru Nanak miraculously appeared. "I was with God!" he cried when people asked where he went. "He asked me to follow his path!"
  • Guru Nanak spent the rest of his life travelling India and Pakistan and teaching people about his experiences. He died on September 22nd 1539 in Karturpur Pakistan. His successor was Guru Angad.
