Storyboard Text

  • The first section of the book introduces Ally, Shay, Mrs. Hall, Albert, Mrs. Silver, Jessica, Oliver, and Keisha. The setting in this section is the school classroom. The feeling in the room is quiet and confused. In this seen is when Mrs. Hall tells Ally that she needs to write but they don't know yet that she can't so they are pressuring her. the setting of all the seen's  are the classroom.
  • exposition 
  • "Well, Ally? Are going to write or aren't you?"
  • I think that one of the most important events that really scared Ally and made her happier and more scared about how she was going to do in school was when she got her new teacher, Mr. Daniels. She was really scared that he was going to be mean and not understand her. 
  • Rising acting
  • "Hello class, I'm your new  teacher Mr. Daniels."
  • This scene is one of the most important parts of the book because it is when Ally realizes that she has something wrong with her and that she is not dumb. Mr. Daniels talks to her about something called dyslexia. She doesn't know what it is and why he would think she has it. They talk about what it is and what might be the reason she can't read like the other kids.
  • Rising action
  • I don't say anything. I know I can't read it.
  • "Ally, can you read this for me?"   "I think I know what you have. it is called dyslexia."
  • in this scene, Mr. Daneils talks to Ally about how to sound things out and how they are spelled. He starts really simple and tries to understand what she is thinking.  Then he talks to her about how good she is doing and then gives her a book. They then talk about the word "impossible". he tells her that it will not be impossible and she just need to work hard and do her best when she even can't.
  • Climax

  • "I want you to say cat in chunks."
  • In this seen they are talking about how some many famous people and inventor have dyslexia. They talk about how you shouldn't feel bad if you are different, and that a lot of people that changed the world like Albert Einstein.   
  • Falling action
  • "Today we are talking about famous people."
  • Resolution-theme 
  • "I think I could really help with this just like your sister."
  • The last chapter is one of the times Ally really shows that she has dyslexia and is almost done with the work she has do do with her reading.
