My name is Mae and I am going to tell you about food in Ancient Greece. In Ancient Greece, the biggest meal is dinner. Breakfast and lunch are light simple meals.
Men and women must dine separately.
Lastly, poor people in the cities mostly got their meat from animal sacrifices to the gods held during festivals.
The strangest food that is eaten in Greece is Black Soup. It is made out of pig's blood, salt, and vinegar.
At dinner banquets, the guests would lay on their sides on couches while they were eating.
Sometimes wealthy Greeks would use bread as napkins to wipe their hands.
