Joan of Arch, a 13 year old peasant girl, believed she could speak with God. She believed that God said her job was to help make Charles the king. She was told she must also protect and free France from the English.
Well, She's crazy
Oh god, if you want me to fight for the french, I got you.
At age 16, Joan or Arc left home to try and join the french army. She tried to disguise herself by cutting her hair, and dressing like a boy, but they were not fooled. When she said God had sent her, Charles tested her, and she passed.
Hello, can I please join? Don't worry, I am definately a boy.
She Really must be a messanger from God!
Joan of Arc led an army in the battle of Orleans. However, while she was there an arrow hit her, going 6 inches in to her arm. She should have died, but she got up as if nothing had happened, and kept fighting.
Heck nah, you can't get rid of me that easy!
At age 17, Joan, without the permission of Charles, went to a war in Burgundy, where she was captured. Charles did not save her and so the English bought her instead. They tortured her for 2 years.
We will get big bucks for you!
Oh God! Please help! Help! Help!
At the trial, Joan confessed about telling a lie because she was afraid. However, she then took back her word so she would die a hero. She was then blamed for both Heresy, teachings against the church, and witchcraft.
I definitely lied okay? Is that what you want to hear?
Well if I will die, then i'm gonna die telling the truth!
Well, you know what?! I can talk to God! Deal with it!
Well, now we know your guilty. You'll die anyway.
At age 19,Joan of Arch was burned at the stake in front of a huge crowd. In 1455 the Catholic Church found Joan of Arc to be truthful. Then, in 1920, they made her a Saint.
You evil witch? We shall burn your for your wrong doings!!!
