  • The Stamp Act was an example of the British Taxes. the Stamp act was introduced in 1765 which meant that all americans needed to put a stamp on each official document

  • Boston Massacre
  • The colonists threw snowballs and debris at the soldiers..Five colonists were killed and six were wounded. Attucks took two ricocheted bullets in the chest and was believed to be the first to die.

  • There were several reasons why the colonists of Americas did not like being ruled by the British. Firstly, colonists did not like being controlled by a country which is 3,000 miles away. Another reason which made the colonists angry was that they hated British taxes. This was because all the money ended going back to Britain. This means that america was not getting any benefit it was Britain who was getting all the money.One famous Bostian was called Thomas Hutchison job was too make sure that Massachusetts follows the politics of the king.

  • The Boston Massacre , known as the Incident on King Street by the British, was an incident on March 5, 1770, in which British army soldiers shot and killed several people. The incident was heavily publicized by leading Patriots, such as Paul Revere and Samuel Adams, to encourage rebellion against the British authorities.Crispus Attucks was an American stevedore and whaler he is widely regarded as the first person killed in the Boston Massacre.
  • Battle Of Lexington
  • The Boston tea party was protest by the sons of liberty in Boston, Massachusetts. It happened on December 16 1773. They boarded the ships as disguised native Americans and destroyed an entire shipment of tea. During the tea party 340 chests of tea, weighing around 92,00 punds, onboard the Beaver, Dartmouth and Eleanor were smashed open with axes and dumped into Boston Harbour. The lead figures in this event were Samuel Adams, Paul Revere and William Molineux
  • Battle Of Concord
  • There were roughly 250 British soldiers killed and wounded. on the other side there were 90 American soldiers which were killed and wounded
  • The Boston Tea Party took place because the colonists did not want to have to pay taxes on British tea. They thought that the tea would put all colonists out of buisness. As a result of the Bostan Tea Party, the british shut down Boston Harbor until all of the 340 chests of British East India Company tea were paid for. This was under the 1774 Intolerable Acts and known as the Boston Port Act.
  • On April 19 1775 the British came to Lexington in order to discuss. The leader of the British was John Parke and the leader of the American was John Pitcain. However, by accident a shot was fired and this then led into the 2 sides fighting. The shot was known as the 'shot heard around the world' and it was given that name by Ralph Waldo Ederson. The British managed to hold back and win the battle of Lexington.
  • After the battle of Lexington the Americans fled to Concord and hid. The British then came after them looking for the Americans weapons shed and they were hoping to destroy it. Meanwhile the Americans went through the town asking for their fellow citizens to help them fight the British and win te battle. The Americans fled to the North Bridge where they met the British. However all of the citizens came to help the Americans. The Americans then beat the British.
