Hi! My name is Michael Jordan. I'm going to tell you a little bit about Nike products, sponserships and the Nike logo and name.
Lets start with Nike products, Nike has products for track and field, baseball, ice hockey, tennis, soccer, lacrosse, cricket and as you can see basketball!
Ok we have talked about products. Let's move on to sponsorships. The first track and field endorser was a man by the name of Steve Prefontaine, he was one of Bill Bowerman's runners. The first tennis endorser was a man named Lile Nâstase. And guess who was signed in 1984? me! I was a rookie NBA star and Nike signed me! I made the company millions of dollars.
Well now we have talked about Nike products and sponsorship. Now we are going to talk about Nike's logo and name. Nike wasn't always called Nike you know, it used to be called Blue Ribbon Sports and it only changed to Nike in 1971. The name Nike is named after the greek goddess of victory. The Nike logo also used to be called the strip instead of the swoosh. The logo was designed by Carolyn Davidson in 1971.
Swish! I still got it! Well that's all I have to tell you about Nike. I hope you learned something. See ya!
