Mythology Storyboard Paragraphs
Long ago, in ancient Greece, there was Eqoa, goddess of numbers and arithmetics, and Jiay, god of mischief and lies. These two were formerly part of the many gods and goddess on Mount Olympus, but were casted away from complicated problems. They then created an alternate dimension, where they rule over a fake universe, extremely similar to that of the Milky Way. All of the animals and plants were identical to that of earth, and the environments too were the same. This was all thanks to Eqoa, who performed precise calculations in order to accurately model the universe the same as the Milky Way. However, Eqoa did not calculate what Jiay would do after she created a world for them to rule over.
The God Jiay, god of mischief and lies, known best for his pranks, continued his work from one universe to another. He went from one thing to another, casually giving a scare to one person, then to another. The population became weary, tired from being surprised every single day. Eqoa realized this, and every day she began to grow extremely angry from Jiay’s terrible example of a god. Each day, less people began to worship them, seeing them less as gods and more of immortal nuisances. They also never became accustomed to their lifestyle, as Jiay pranked them so frequently that their lives were full of torment.
Rising Action (2)
Jiay had individual pranks for every single being he met. For animals, he took their food, keeping it only in their eyesight, making them crave it even more. For humans, he created holes in their shelter, making them shiver in the cold. Jiay even pranked plants, by blocking their sunlight. At first, the people believed that they were being punished for something wrong. But even after conforming to being extremely kind and graceful, they began to realize that their gods were simply mean. One by one, people began to pray less and less for their gods.
Finally, Eqoa had enough. She confronted Jiay and ordered him to be more graceful and less carefree. Jiay attempted to escape Equa’s wrath, but Equa had calculated that possibility, and imprisoned Jiay. Eqoa then created a list of punishments, numbered from one to an infinite amount of choices. To ensure that Jiay would perform his punishment, Eqoa made Jiay vow to never stop performing his punishment, or his immortality would be removed. Then, Eqoa allowed Jiay to choose a random number of his choosing. That would decide what punishment he would receive. The number he chose was 3794913282, the number of pranks he had done until then. What he obtained was the punishment of taking the time to make the flowers bloom.
From that day forward, Jiay was forced to open each individual flower himself. Making every flower bloom took extremely long because despite being a god, Eqoa’s rule was that he was to open them with his own hands in order for them to bloom. Jiay was also confined to having to walk to each flower. Thus, Jiay works his entire life during the spring and summer, and during the fall and winter is when he is allowed to have free time. But even with this time, Jiay no longer engages in pulling pranks, as he fears that Eqoa will punish him with an even more time consuming punishment. Eqoa, content with the punishment, continues to give her grace to her people while her brother does menial tasks.
In the end, the humans and others stop being pranked by Jiay. Because of this, the humans and others return to praying to their benevolent gods, unaware that there is only one receiving their prayers. Eqoa, pleased with the fact that they are being worshipped again, gives away many blessings for her people. Unaware of Jiay, the humans plant even more flowers as a way to thank the gods, creating more work for Jiay. Jiay, spiteful towards Eqoa, spends his most of his time making the flowers bloom. During his free time, he prepares for the long journey that he has to make in the coming months.
