Cassius is trying to convince Brutus that Caesar is bad and Brutus and Cassius hear the trumpets. They find out later that Antony gave Caesar the crown. "Beware the ides of March" (l:i:in 23).
Act IV Sc 3
Brutus compares Caesar as a serpant egg. He says Caesar isn't dangerous now, but could be in the future. Because of this. They should kill him now. "And therefore think him as a serpant's egg" (ll:i:in 32).
Act V Sc 3
Caesar is stabbed 33 times by the conspirators. They stabbed him because they thought he was to Ambishes. They did not want a king. "speak hands for me" (lll:i:in 77).
Theme "Dont assume"
Cassius wants to wait in Sardous. Brutus wants to meet halfway in Philippi. as always they follow Brutus's plan. "there is a tide in the affairs of men / which taken at the flood, leads on to fortune" (lV:iii:in 217-218).
Brutus Commites suicide because he believes it is best for Rome. When Antony finds him he calls him the nobles man in Rome. He calls him this because he did the wrong thing but for the right reason. "This was the noblest roman of them all" (V:V:in 68).
The conspirators all planned to kill Caesar because they thought he was dangerous. ultimately, they have no proof that he would be dangerous. they just assumed. "He was ambitious, I slew him" (lll:ii:in 27)
