  • October 22 1962 On this day president JFK delivered a speech to the people, about events in Cuba
  • Good evening, my fellow citizens: This Government, as promised, has maintained the closest surveillance of the Soviet military buildup on the island of Cuba. 
  • The address was plain and simple, we were watching Cuba, and war was fast approaching 
  • People everywhere were shocked, fearful, and upset . Even more people were confused
  • We have entered DEFCON 2
  • DEFCON 2 essentially states that the army is ready in 6 hours, and war is coming but can still be avoided.
  • DEFCON 2
  • The people had mixed reactions, as some started to prepare Nuclear Shelters...
  • Everything you need to start a nation wide Revoultion
  • COMMUNIST SHOP
  • I dont want to DIE!
  • Others Panicked. That being said, while JFK successfully delivered the information, it was unsuccessful in calming the people
