Montressor sees Fortunato in the village at a festival. Montressor tells Fortunato about the amontillado and Montressor wants to go see it. This is the setting because this is the part where the story is first beginning. We are getting background information on where and why the story is taking place.
Montresso is leading Fourtunato down the catacombs. As they walk a long way down, Motressour is getting Fortunato more drunk. This is the rising action because it is leading up to the climax and is still telling a story while giving more information.
Montressor has now chained Fourtunato up to a wall at the very back of the catacombs. Montressor is now building a wall to block him from escaping. This is the climax because it is the part of the story that the action happens and what the story has been built up too.
