  • Billy, you've been given several warnings. You need to go to the Cool Down Zone
  • Do Not Engage
  • Go to the Cool Down Zone
  • Go to the Cool Down Zone
  • Go to the Cool Down Zone
  • It wasn't me!
  • But I was just...
  • Do Not Engage
  • ...Fine.
  • A student is disrupting the classroom. The teacher instructs the student to go to the "Cool-Down Corner" so that he can reflect on his behavior.
  • The student might try to argue, negotiate, or make excuses. DO NOT ENGAGE! Here, the teacher stands her ground and just repeats the instructions, leaving no room for arugment.
  • Eventually, the student gives up and complies with the instructions.
