This colourful experience explains how colour is colour on Earth.
Hmm, I wonder why all of these things are so colourful?
Well, my friend do not worry, because I am here to explain it!!
You see, everything is so colourful because of light. Let me explain.
You see, when the Sun produces light, it produces light in the form of visible light, which is what makes colours.
When the light hits Earth, the light becomes colours because of pigments.
Black and white are special, though. White is white because it reflects all colours, and black is black because it absorbs all colors, like the glasses I'm wearing or the snow in the background.
The pigments that are in things determine what colours get absorbed and what colours get reflected, like the yellow hedgehog or the red newsstand.
Oh, so that's why objects appear coloured!
Yep! Glad I could teach you!
