  • Ughhh not the British Government!!
  • Stage 1: Complaining
  • Hey!!! You guys are not allowed in here!!!
  • 
  • Stage 2: Protest
  • STOP REPRESSION!!
  • Many people started to move out of Britain  and to either the north or east when the British government came in.
  • Stage 3: Revolution
  • Apartheid laws put many restrictions on blacks. There were many illegal things that they couldn't do that whites could do that made it unfair for them.  
  • Stage 4: Recovery
  • I'm retiring!!
  • In 1976, Black schoolchildren in Soweto peacefully marched outside of there school when police shot and killed many children.
  • People protested at a peaceful demonstration and 69 people were shot and killed.  Shortly after, Nelson Mandela was thrown in prison for conspiracy.
  • In 1997 Nelson Mandela left as head of the African National Congress. Later he retired as President of south Africa. That year the ANC won majority in the National Assembly.
