  • Today's Headline: Poverty in the U.S. is a growing problem, but first what is poverty? Poverty is the state of being Extremely poor. A family of 4 that makes a total of $24,000 a year is considered in poverty.
  • My family works hard for minimum wage but they still need the welfare money.
  • Hurry you'll miss you'r free breakfast at school!
  • Let's go we need to get to work. I'll be working my second job today. 
  • Around 41 Million people are in poverty and nearly half of those are in deep poverty which means they live off of less than $2 a day.
  • Here's $10 only spend it on the essentials and good luck with your life.

  • Welfare does not solve the problem of poverty it puts a bandage on. Which gives some aid but does not solve the problem.

  • Welfare is a combination of aid from many individual agencies. Each have their own services and guidelines to receive those services. Free food in schools, medical care, housing assistance, and financial aid are some.

  • Many of those who are in poverty are homeless and without basic necessities. It is hard for the homeless to navigate the system to get aid.
