Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Rising Action
  • Climax
  • He is in the living room with his daughter talking about the war. She asked him if he had ever killed anybody, he lied and said no.
  • Falling Action
  • He has a flashback to when he was woken up and put on night watch. He saw a man walking up the trail, he was armed with a gun.
  • Resolution
  • He crouched down and begin to get the grenade ready. He let the grenade go and immediately felt guilty.  He watched as the guy began to run, then he hit the ground. He knew that he had just killed him.
  • Theme
  • After he realizes what he just did, he understood that he was not in any real peril. He could have let him go and it would have been fine. Now he lives with the guilt of what he did.
  • He goes back and plays different scenarios through his head, thinking how it could have been different. Then it all goes back to that night when he saw the guy in the fog and without thinking he killed him. The last scenario we're left with was the guy walking by the narrator smiling, without violence
  •
  • Don't be so quick to judge. We thought of this theme because the narrator was so quick to judge the guy walking he killed him. When the guy could have just been passing through and had a gun to hunt or protection.
