Storyboard Text

  • Hamilton's Plan
  • Yes! I will assume states debts! And then create a National bank! Its the perfect plan!
  • Jefferson's Disagreement
  • This is a good idea!!
  • It will put those states back in debt!!
  • The Connection
  • No it wont!!
  • It's gonna ruin America!
  • Hamilton came up with a plan. He wanted to assume state debts and make a national bank. Assuming state debts would force the South to pay for the North’s debts. The south did not like this but the north would love this so they would not have to pay.
  • When Jefferson heard this he did not like this plan. He strongly disagreed with it. He thought that the South should not have to pay for the North’s debts. That it may cause the South to go back into debt.
  • Hamilton wanted to assume state debts but Jefferson was against that completely. He also wanted to create a national bank but Jefferson thought that was a terrible idea and would ruin America.
