It will be okay.
Free! Body and soul free!
Richard informed Josephine of Mr. Mallard’s death. Josephine told Mrs. Mallard that her husband was killed in a train accident. She had to break the news carefully because Louise had a heart condition .
Louise was in her room when she realized that she was now free from her marriage. She would be able to live by herself and do what she wanted. She believed she will like her new life.
Brently walked in the door right as Louise was walking downstairs. He was never actually in a train accident. The doctors said she died of a “joy that kills”. Actually, Louise realized she would not be alone to live her own life.
