Behavioral isolation is a type of reason why species cannot reproduce. In my comic strip, the two birds could not mate because they had different mating calls. They were too different to reproduce because of their behavior. Most behavioral isolation occurs during mating rituals because rituals are very specific to each species. Another example is fireflies. Fireflies have specific light patterns preventing them to interbreed with close firefly species.
Okay, where to?
Let's go traveling!
I've always wanted to visit New York.
The birds are just different in New York. You're better off with someone in Californa back at home.
I'm not sure if that will work out in New York.
We'll see about that!
I need to find a mate.
It's very different here. I've never seen these kinds of birds.
Yeah, these birds are a little strange.
I'm going to look around some more.
Oh, that's okay. I'm the same way by the way my name is Juilet.
I'm sorry! Are you okay?
Oh no, it was my fault. I wasn't watching were I was going.
Yeah very. I think I'll try to sing her a song and see if she likes it.
I bumped into this girl today. I've never seen anyone like her.
Sounds good. I hope it works out!
Was she nice?

I'm sorry Romeo. it can never be. We're too different. I don't think we would be happy together. Good-bye Romeo.
Oh, I was trying my mating call.
Oh, what are you doing here and what was that awful noise?
