Macbeth walks in
Banquo "what time is it son?" Servant "After midnight sir"
Macbeth "A friend" Banquo "What, sir, not asleep yet? The kings in bed. He was in a god mood and sent great gifts to your officers. He said you wife is a wonderful hostess and then he retired, very content.
Macbeth "Being unprepared for his visit, I fear that we didn't do enough for him. Banquo "All is well. I dreamed last night of the three weird sisters. For you, their first prediction has come true!"
Macbeth "If you are loyal to me, honors shall be yours when the time comes." Banquo "I lose no honor in seeking to add to it. If I can keep my conscience free while staying loyal, then, of course, I shall take your advice.
Macbeth "Sleep well, then!" Banquo "Thank you, sir. The same to you.
Macbeth "Is this a dagger I seem to see before me, the handle toward my hand? Are you, fatal vision, able to be felt as well as seen? Or are you only a dagger of mind, a false convention, Coming from my fevered brain? I can see you still, in a form as real as this one, which now I draw.
