"He plugged me" (Slalanger 116)
Scene 2- Helpful words from Allie
"Every time I came to the end of a block and stepped off the goddam curb, I had this feeling I'd never get to the other side of the street. I thought I'd just go down, down, down, and nobody'd ever see me again" (Slanger 217).
"Allie, please don't let me dissapear. Please, Allie"(Salanger 218).
In "Catcher in the Rye" Holden Caulfield is on an adventure around the city of New York and he experiences many things that trigger him to have moments where he shows insanity and mental instability.
In this scene Holden was picturing that he waned to shoot Maurice 6 times through his big fat belly, and eventually Maurice would beg and then die.
Holden was waling around New York and he would get this odd feeling that he was not going to make it across the road so he would pray to Allie that he would make it across.
