  • The Ghost of Christmas Past shows Symbolism because of the Light coming out of his head. This Light shows a deep meaning, The meaning of the light out of his head is Lighting up Scrooges past.

  • I get paid very little! But being poor is not a bad thing.
  • This Scene shows Indirect characterization because The gentleman are trying to ask Scrooge (a rich man) to donate to the poor near the Holiday season but Scrooge shows his greedy and rude characterization very Indirectly and refuses.
  • Symbolism
  • My chains represent the bad in my life!
  • This shows a internal conflict because, Scrooge was lonely as a little boy in Middle School which means he always felt different, alone and unliked.
  • Theme
  • We are very poor, But money is not the key to happiness.
  • This shows Bob Cratchit working for Scrooge. Scrooge doesn't pay Bob Cratchit a lot of money which symbolizes being poor is not a bad thing.
  • The chains on the Ghost of Marley symbolizes the bad in Marely's life. This is a way the Ghost of Marley shows symbolism.
  • This scene shows Money can not buy happiness because Mr and Mrs.Crathchit are very poor only receiving $15 from Scrooge a week but they seem very happy and positive compared to Scrooge and other characters who are much richer then them.
