I'll go check if the next street has the same power outage.
What is that? It looks like a meteor.
Steve, the stove stopped working.
Mr. Brand . . . you better not.
The aliens don't want you to.
No dice. The car won't start.
Maple Street, USA. It was a normal street in a normal town, full of happy people who were for the most part, didn't fight. This was all until the meteor. The meteor that took out all the electricity in the street and all the sense in the peoples minds. A man named Pete Van Horn went to check if the next street over had the same power outage as them.
Steve and a few other people decided to go downtown and check in with police , because this is not an ordinary power failure. Except, while they were about to go, a little boy named Tommy comes up and says,"Mr. Brand. . . you better not." Steve asks why. Tommy explains with a vague,"They don't want you to." He is referring to aliens and how no one will have power except the aliens pretending to be humans. Nobody believes him, but. . . .
Les Goodman, a man oblivious to this whole scene was trying to start his car. I wouldn't start, so he got out. All of a sudden though, his car starts up on its own accord. The people start to think that this alien story is real and begin to accuse him, make a stakeout around him, and even use his insomnia as a weapon against him. Steve is the only one who thinks this is wrong.
All through the night, the once happy people of Maple Street watch Les's house through the night. But soon, it is not just Les who is an alien. It is also Steve, because of how he defended Les. BUt all of a sudden, a figure comes into veiw.
