Storyboard Description

Act 4 is when Macbeth visits the witches. Lennox tells Macbeth, Macduff fled to England. Macbeth send murders to macduff's house to kill his wife and children. Macduff asks Malcolm for his assistance, Malcolm doesn't trust him at first but agrees. Ross tell Macduff that his wife and kids are dead. Macduff is filled with anger and promises to avenge them.

Storyboard Text

  • Double, double toil and trouble, Fire burn, and cauldron bubble
  • I don’t know how you know the things you do, but I insist that you answer my questions.
  • Macbeth! Macbeth! Beware Macduff, Beware the Thane of Fife! Dismiss me. Enough
  • Tell me, thou unknown power- Whatever thou art, for thy good caution. thanks.
  • Lennox to me! Saw you the Weird Sisters? Came they not by you?
  • No indeed, my lord. My lord Macduff fled to England.
  • Macbeth goes to the three witches to demand answers about he's future. The witches completes their spell and summons a head. The armed head warns Macbeth beware the Thane of Fife. 
  • Whither should i fly? I have no harm. Thou liest, thou shag-haired villain. Murder!
  • The second apparition is a bloody child, who tells him that "none of woman born shall harm Macbeth
  • Merciful heaven! Lets make us medicines of our great revenge. Dispute it like a man.
  • Wife, children, servants, all that could be found. He has no children.
  • Lennox enters and tells Macbeth that Macduff has fled to England. Macbeth resolves to send murderers to capture Macduff's castle and to kill Macduff's wife and children.
  • Did heaven look on and would not help them? Sinful Macduff, they were all struck for thee.
  • Gentle heavens, face to face bring thou this fiend of Scotland and myself
  • At Fife, in Macduff's castle, Lady Macduff is lamenting to Ross that her husband has run away. He tells her he had his reasons. After he left murderers come saying they're looking for Macduff, who is a traitor, but ends up killing the mother and children.
  • Bless you, fair dame! Though in your interest I have come. Where is your husband? He's a traitor.
  • Malcolm speaks with Macduff, telling him that he does not trust him since he has left his family in Scotland an. Ross enters and erges Malcolm to return to his country. Macduff says that he will return with ten thousand soldiers lent him by the English king.
  • All! My children too? My wife killed too? What, all my pretty chickens and their dam at one fell swoop?
  • Ross confesses to Macduff that Macbeth has murdered his wife and children. Macduff is crushed with grief. Malcolm urges him to turn his grief to anger, and Macduff assures him that he will inflict revenge upon Macbeth.
