  • I bought the Lousiana territory for 15 million dollars. I am rich. Oh yeah! haha...
  • Thomas Jefferson became president in 1801. Once he became president he had bought the Louisiana Territory. 
  • I am faithful to whatever the bible says. I promise to treat everyone the same. 
  • Andrew Jackson had become president of the United States
  • President Andrew Jackson had singed the Indian Removal Act to law where more Indians had to be removed form the western lands. 
  • I demand for all Indians to be removed from the western lands and leave!
  • you all need to leave now !!
  • WHAT! WHY?
  • Once the law was passed Andrew told the Cherokee tribe that they had to leave. That they were no longer welcomed. 
  • you had promised us
  • Don't Move! Stay there!
  • Why are you doing this ?
  • you promised us that we could stay here
  • Soldiers were sent to the western lands and kick out the Indians forcefully. 
  • please don't hurt us
  • More than 30,000 Indians migrated to another place. During this time many of them died mostly because of hunger. They called this the "Trail of Tears."
