I got Sadie when she was 8 weeks old. She is a purebred German Shepherd working and show line mix. She is black and tan with amber eyes that seem to dance with fire. She immediately became my velcro dog. She was a show dog for the first two years of her life. She will turn three years old on April 16th.
Sadie and I at a dog show in Alpharetta, GA when she was about six months.
Sadie has never acted aggressive or vicious during a dog show. Most dogs are very well trained and calm.
In Atlanta, when Sadie was almost two years old, she won against a beautiful plush coat German Shepherd who was bred specifically for show. Sadie was not bred to be a show dog.
Sadie is very protective, but calm and loving. She has attitude mixed with fire. She can also can be very petty and jealous. If she smells the scent of another dog on me, she makes a sound that is a mixture of growling and whining then she won’t look at me. Sadie can be very hyper and happy.
Sadie’s coat is a mixture of light tan and black. Her muzzle is black with some light grey, almost white speckles around the tip of her bottom jaw. The top of her tail is mostly black with some darker tan hairs. The bottom is fluffy almost with really light, sandy colored strands of fur. Her back is mostly black and it fades to grey on her hips. The grey then fades to the lightly tan fur on her legs. Her stomach and chest is all light tan.
