Storyboard Text

  • Today will be the day that the Bolsheviks will revolt against the government
  • For Peace, Land, and Bread!!!!!!!!
  • Finally the Czar Nicholas II is dead and we can take control
  • In November 1917, the Bolsheviks led a revolt that overthrew the government. Vladimir Lenin and the citizens are wearing red because that is the color associated with communism.
  • Here is better farm land that will be given to the peasants
  • Vladimir Lenin used the famous quote, " Peace, Land, and Bread" to gain many supporters. Peace meant that Russia would be taken out of the war, Land meant that land would be distributed to the peasants, and Bread meant that starving people will be able to eat.
  • Here is one of the many mines that the workers will have control over
  • The Czar is finally killed and the Bolsheviks take over the government
  • This land will now be known as the United Soviet Socialist Republics
  • The Bolsheviks promised to give land back to the people.
  • The Bolsheviks also promised that workers will have control of factories and mines.
  • Russia later became known as the USSR after World War I. The symbol on the flag, hammer and sickle, is another sign of communism.
