Odysseus is faced with the challenge of the three dangers of the ocean, the Sirens, Scylla, and Charybdis. Thease threats had killed men from the ship, destroyed the ship, and tried to deviate Odysseus from his destination. They were very dangerous, and it needed a lot of determination from Odysseus and his crew members to continue this journey.
As his journey reached an end Odysseus begged his men not to enter the island of Helios, Thrinacia, but his men did not listen to his command. Once arriving on the island Odysseus men ate the sun gods cattle. As punishment Zeus sinks Odysseus ship making him the only survivor as he drifts off the the island Ogyga, home of Calypso.
Odysseus and his crew came up with an idea to escape Calypso Island which was to throw a stake at the one eye of the Cyclops and make him not see as for them to run away with their lives.
