A Zoeing 474 belonging to FlyMe Airlines, which was on its route from Kuala Lumpur to Thailand, crashed into a small village in Kuala Nerang, killing and injuring its passengers as well as some inhabitants of the village. It was discovered that the plane experienced an engine failure. The injured victimes were taken to Maulana Hospital. Due to limited numbers of beds, some of the victims were left unattended including Jamil, who was suffering a severe back pain.
By the time Jamil was attended to by Dr Nedim, a junior doctor on standby, Jamil complained of excruciating back pain and severe throbbing in his head. However, in the haste, Dr Nedim only recorded about his back pain. Later that night, the pain in Jamil's head became unbearable. An X-ray subsequently conducted on Jamil's head discovered blood clots in his head. By the time an operation was done to remove the blood clot, Jamil had suffered a partial brain damage.
Another victim, Raju suffered an injury to his knee and required an injection of pain killer. Dr Nedim dod not inform Raju of any side effects from such injection. After the injection, Raju suffered a severe allergy which caused his death a few days later.
Razak who lives two kilometres from the crash site, rushed to the scene to have a closer look. He was riding his motorcycle at a high speed when he suddenly hit Ali, a pedestrian who was on the zebra crossing area. Ali was thrown a hundred meters away before he was subsequently hit by another car. Ali suffered instant death.
Meanwhile, Mr. Borhan a physics teacher at a nearby shcool, was having a practical examination in the lab with his pupils.
The strong impact from the plane crash had actually weakened the structures of the roof of the school building. Suddenly, the roof of the lab caved in and caused a loud explosion. Mr Borhan and his students were severely injured with first and second degree burns.
