There was a little girl. She was 5 years old. Every day she would sit and play with the toys she had in her room.
One day, the little girl's mom took her to the store and said she could get a new toy. The little girl chose a bright orange ball.
The little girl knew exactly how she wanted to play with her new ball. She rolled it down the stairs. She watched it bounce down, then she would run and get it and do it all over again.
The little girl's mother warned her to stop rolling the ball down the stairs because she was going to break something on the table at the end of the stairs.
You better stop right now!!
The little girl continued to roll the ball down the stairs. Her mother got so mad, she snatched the ball, took it to the kitchen, grabbed a pair of scissors, and popped the ball.
The little girl was sad about her ball. She told her mother that she was sorry she didn't listen. She went back to her room and played with her other toys in memory of her favorite orange ball.
