Do you expect me to eat flowers?
Your words hurt me! I will live with you no longer!
I used harsh words. I need to apologize.
I will help you.
"The First Strawberries" is a Native American legend. It begins by explaining the creator made a man and a woman who married. One day, the couple argues and the woman leaves the man. She walks away and doesn't look back.
The sun offers to help stop the woman by making different berries appear in front of her. She doesn't stop until the sun creates the first strawberries. When she bites into one, she forgets her anger and wants to share the sweet fruit with her husband.
Finally, the man catches up to the woman and apologizes. She shares the strawberries with her husband. To this day strawberries remind Native Americans to be kind to each other.
