Storyboard Text

  • On today's episode we will be learning about gravity, friction, elastic force, and magnetism.
  • For example, The force of gravity keeps all of the planets in orbit around the sun.
  • First, what is Gravity? Gravity is the force by which a planet or other body draws objects toward its center.
  • Friction is the resistance, that one surface or object encounters when moving over another.
  • A person sliding down a slide is an example of friction.
  • Next is elasticity...
  • For example, a rubber band.
  • Elasticity is the ability of a material to return to its original shape after being stretched or compressed.
  • Magnetism is a force that can attract (pull closer) or repel (push away).
  • For example, this magnet attracted the nail because it has magnetism. That is why they stick.
  • That is all for today's episode. Thank you for watching.
