Vexed, old King Beowulf proclaimed...
Let's end this enemy of our people - comrades, march on!
At the mouth of the Dragon's lair, Beowulf began recounting his feats, for he sensed that "His fate hovered near, unknowable but certain/ It would soon claim his coffered soul" (2421-2422).
