Shine, Perishing Republic
This storyboard does not have a description.
The poem title describes that it is about how America is fading
America is becoming hard to live and make a living in because of materialism and industrialization
The new age of industrialization destroys the trees (home) . Furthermore to survive in America (especially in cities) is similar to a bubble in molten lava that pops but then hardens
The tone/ attitude of the speaker is of pessimism and that America is headed into darkness. Disillusion of America is also another attitude of the speaker
Poem shifts from how the materialism and industrialization affects nature to how it affects us as a whole society
The poem is about America and how it is losing its identity with nature/ freedom and reflects how materialism is a trap to the current generation. The Speaker wants to keep himself isolated from the corruption
