The rights of the accused
The right to remain silent
The right to have a lawyer
The police cannot search this man because of the Bill of Rights states that without reason or a warrant. They have no right to search him unless he is doing something wrong. Unless the police have proof that he is doing something illegal. Why does the cop not have the right to search him if he wants to?
The man does not have to say anything to the cop. As the 5th amendment says that he has the right to not say anything. He does not have to talk to them unless under oath. Why does he not have to say anything? Shouldnt he have to speak to the cop?
The man has the right to lawyer to help him with his case. The 6th amendment states that even if youre guilty to a crime you still have the right to a lawyer. You dont need a lawyer but you are able to have one to help you if you want. Why wouldnt someone want a lawyer if they have the right to one?
