  • George and Lennie are migrant workers. They are talking about the dream to own a farm and land.
  • Falling Action
  • Lennie kills the puppy. Lennie worries about George finding that he killed the puppy and he won't get to tend the rabbits. 
  • Resolution
  • Lennie kills Curley's wife. Lennie doesn't care about Curley's Wife's death, but only cares about George finding out the dead puppy.
  • Literary Device
  • Lennie "Small"
  • Lennie hallucinates Aunt Clara and a bunny. Both are talking about how Lennie is a big dumb idiot and how he is a burden to George
  • George kills Lennie to end everything. George is sad, but his action is just. 
  • The literary device is irony. What is ironic is that Lennie's last name is "Small". Lennie is actually a big strong guy that is the exact opposite of a small person's trait.
