  • Lady Macbeth essentially tells Macbeth that he is being overly paranoid.
  • still it cried "sleep no more"
  • go get some water and wash this filthy witness from your hands
  • Lady Macbeth tells Macbeth that there's no reason for him to be shook up about what he has done because the dead and the sleeping cannot hurt him & only children are scared.
  • i'll go no more. i am afraid to think what i have done!
  • give me the daggers.. i'll gild the faces of the grooms withal, for it must seem their guilt
  • Macbeth is startled by every little noise he hears and says that his hands can never be cleaned after killing. His hands and conscious are forever tainted.
  • whence is that knocking? how is 't with me when every noise appalls me?
  • Lady Macbeth pretty much tells Macbeth that the way he is acting is ridiculous & that she'd be ashamed to be acting the same way.
