She quickly goes to her locker and packs her books for her first four classes while saying hi to her friends.
The bell rings and Tina reports to her fourth class, Chemistry. She walks in and remembers that she has a quiz on percent error and significant figures. Tina just sits in her seat upset and doesn't complete the quiz because she won't do math. She knows she will get a zero. Tina is beginning to think that forgetting math was a bad idea. The bell rings and it's time for lunch.
Tina picks a sandwich, iced tea, and a bag of Lay’s Chips. Tina then realizes she’s unable to buy lunch because she won't count how much money she needs. She then puts the food back and sits with her friends, starving since she didn’t eat breakfast either.
Tina reports to her next class, Algebra. Tina walks in nervously and takes her seat, praying that Ms. Putieri wouldn’t call on her, but she does. Tina was unable to answer the question and says she wasn’t paying attention. Tina becomes upset because she knows Ms. Putieri was disappointed with her and she will give Tina a zero for class participation.
The bell rings and school is finally over. Relieved, Tina rushes to her locker and sprints to bus because she doesn’t want to miss the bus again. Tina luckily makes it, and goes back home exhausted. Tina finally arrives home.
She walks in and her mom asks her how her day went. Tina then screams out, I NEED MATH! Tina explains to her mom what she decided to do about math. After this day, Tina finally realizes that without math in her life, she wouldn’t be able to do anything in her everyday life.
