Storyboard Text

  • John the Pirate
  • Hey Mary, remember the guy John I was talking to you about? He's getting my movie sometime this week.
  • Oh yeah, I remember him. Just be careful, he could be plagiarizing it.
  • Direct plagiarism
  • Plagiarizing? Would that be Direct Plagiarizing?
  • Yep! That is when anyone copies the audio, text, or speech directly without permission.
  • Other Plagiarism
  • Of course! There are plenty of other ways to plagiarize.
  • Oh yeah, there is a lot more ways that people can plagiarize too right?
  • Self Plagiarism/Complete Plagiarism
  • Like Self-Plagiarism. When a student summits all or portions of his/her work without the professors permission.
  • Oh yeah, or Complete Plagiarism. That's when someone use someone else work completely and claims it as their own right?
  • Lazy Plagiarism/Mosaic Plagiarism
  • Yep and Lazy Plagiarism. That's when the student/person doesn't correctly attribute his/her research.
  • And Mosaic Plagiarism. That's when a student takes information from multiple sources, compiles it into a new form, and doesn't cite the sources.
  • Paraphrased Plagiarism
  • Wow that is a lot of ways you can plagiarize, maybe I shouldn't get the movie from him.
  • Lastly, Paraphrased Plagiarism. That's when a student summarizes the information but doesn't state the author.
