BGD (Brown Girl Dreaming)
A Motif is a repeating idea in a novel. Oh! just like in the book i am reading the author loves to use Motifs to represent home. For example she says "Those Saturday evenings at her kitchen table, the smell of Dixie Peach hair grease, the sizzle of the straightening comb...." (Pg. 108)
the many other times Jaquiline Woodson used a motif of home just like this quote "After our dinner and bath, after our powdered and pajamaed bodies are tucked three across into bed, after Winnie the Pooh a kiss on our foreheads and longer than usual hugs." (Pg. 105)
Looks like you got this under control man! Is there any other motif that identifies with home?
