Storyboard Description

In the novel A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park there is a character V.S. Nature conflict. This conflict is between the group traveling and the Nile River. The group has to cross the Nile River on order to carry on there journey. The group in the story has to build boats in order to continue. This way of crossing the river saved them from drowning and never having a chance of reaching the refugee camp. By crossing the Nile River in the boats made from wood and grasses they safely made to the refugee camp. This is the Character V.S. Nature conflict in A Long Walk to Water.

  • The group doesn't know how to cross the Nile River. So everyone is yelling out answers to solve the problem.
  • So the people decide to build boars, but don't know what to build with.
  • The group decide to build with sticks and wood. So soon they have many boats for everyone to ride in.
