Setting: Marcy is in her kitchen at home cooking dinner when she thinks she saw a mouse.
She saw the mouse and screamed. She didn't know what to do.
She set some mouse traps around and saw that one of them had caught a mouse.
Although she is happy that she caught a mouse, she realizes that there is probably more mice, so she calls an exterminator to eradicate the mice and makes a counseling appointment to address her phobia.
She goes to the counselling appointment and the doctor tells her that: "you have different options for facing your phobia. One of those options is keeping your living area clean and tidy. Another one of those options is setting mouse traps. Also, if these steps don't work, you may have to consider Psychotherapy, or Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
After the following the advice given to her by the counselor, she feels more confident that she can face her phobia.
