  • EXPOSITION
  • CONFLICT
  • RISING ACTION
  • On a quiet suburban Maple Street, somewhere in America, the residents notice meteor-like object flies overhead. The electricity goes out.
  • CLIMAX
  • No one knows what flew overhead or why there is no power. Pete Van Horn goes to the next block to see if they have power.
  • FALLING ACTION
  • Steve wants to go into town to see if anyone knows what's going on. Tommy says that the aliens have sent down others before them that look like humans but aren't human. The neighbors begin to suspect each other.
  • RESOLUTION
  • The neighbors don't trust each other. They see a shadowy figure in the distance, and Charlie shoots him by mistake, who happens to be Pete Van Horn. Charlie calls Tommy the monster, and other people develop their own idea of who the monster is.
  • The neighbors blame each other and bring harm to each other, wreaking havoc on their once peaceful neighborhood.
  • As the neighbors destroy each other, aliens watch from their spacecraft, planning world domination by playing with the minds of humans in every "Maple Street" in the world
