In 1620, a group of separatists wanted to have religious freedom. They were under the Church Of England. One of the rules was if you didn't believe in the gods and spirits the England Church did, then you would be in trouble, sometimes even death would be the consequence. the English people had to follow under the religion they were under. so then a group of people sailed out and they became one of the first pilgrims to sail out because of religious freedom.
There were a lot of hardships trying to settle at Plymouth. One of the hardships was that they didn't have as much food because it was winter. The winter caused the Pilgrims to die of starvation, diseases, and because it was generally too cold. the winter was super deadly and it forced the pilgrims to ask Native Americans that were on the land before the pilgrims, help for food. There were also problems when the pilgrims sailed the Mayflower over to Cape Cod, Massachusettes. The seas were very rough and it took the pilgrims two months to get to the Cape Cod coast.
The way I would deal with the problems that the Pilgrims had is I would send more ships then the pilgrims sent. I would do this because it makes the chance of the Pilgrims successfully sailing to Cape Cod higher. Then, I would solve the starvation problem by making more some of the girls go out and try to get food. This also makes the chances of them having food higher. Another thing that I would do about the starvation death thing is I would bring food to Plymouth.
