The First Four Presidents of the United States of America
I am President Jefferson
I am President Madison
My name is George Washington and I am the first President of the United States. As president I have done many successful, significant things. As result of me being the first President of the United States, I have interpreted the Constitution to solve problems, that are not directly mentioned in the Constitution. As a result I have set precedents for the presidents to come. Additionally, I have established the tradition of a president having cabinet advisors.
I am John Adams and I am the second President of the United States . As president I had to deal with rising tension in foreign affairs. In fact while I was president, a naval war broke out between The US and France. This in turn caused the Alien and Sedation Acts to be passed under my presidency. These acts gave the government the power to deport "enemy" foreigners, and imprison anyone who strongly disagreed with the government.
I am Thomas Jefferson and am the third President of the United States. As president I bought a huge chunk of land west of the Mississippi, from France. Under my presidency the Louisiana Purchase was made, which was an 828,000 square mile chunk of land located west of the Mississippi. I also commissioned Lewis and Clark to go explore the uncharted land that was purchased, along with the land that is beyond the Louisiana Purchase.
My name is James Madison and I am the fourth President f the United States. As president I have Issued a Proclamation for War, in 1812. This in response triggered the War of 1812, a rigorous war lasting 32 months. In fact during the war trade with Europe stoped, hurting merchants, and during the war even the White House was burned down by the British. However, eventually a treaty was signed, the Treaty of Ghent. Although there was a lot of people who did not support the war at the time, I was later recognized for the war's triumphs.
