Draymond Green Livin' The Dream
Draymond Jamal Green was born on March 4, 1990.
Draymond Green is the son of Mary Barbers and Wallace Davis, but took the name of his stepfather, Raymond Green. Draymond has two brothers and three sisters.
Growing up in Saginaw, Michigan, Draymond did not have much. He grew up poor and wanted to use basketball as his way out. He wanted to do big things in basketball and give back to the community and his family.
Green attended Saginaw High School in Saginaw, Michigan. As a sophomore, he averaged 12 points and 11 rebounds per game. As a junior, he averaged 25 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and three steals per game and led Saginaw to the State Championship.
On November 14, 2007, Green signed a National Letter of Intent to play college basketball for Michigan State. Freshman year, Green came off the bench as he averaged 3.3 points per game. By senior year, Green averaged 16.2 points per game.
