  • Small businesses such as family-run business could not keep up with factory productivity which led their business to close
  • Families turned to factories for jobs but the pay was extremely low that entire families worked in factories. Now women entered the workforce, not staying at home cooking and cleaning as they used to before.
  • The hours are so long and there is not a good pay but at least I am out of the house finally
  • On July, 1848, the first women's rights convention was held in Seneca Falls, NY
  • ALL MEN AND WOMEN ARE CREATED EQUAL!!!
  • It was led by Lucretia Mott and Elizabeth Stanton. They created a Declaration of Sentiments which was modeled after the Declaration of Independence. It stated "All men and women are created equal", it also demanded women's rights to vote.
  • ALL MEN AND WOMEN ARE CREATED EQUAL!!!
  • A man named Arthur Denny suggested the first legislation that would have allowed women the right to vote. However, it failed.  This was the introduction of the Women's Rights Movements .
